TL;DR

As the lead designer for Serano Cafe's website redesign, I transformed their outdated digital presence into an engaging, user-friendly experience that authentically represents their brand. Working closely with the cafe owners, I reimagined their site architecture, developed a cohesive visual language, and created intuitive pathways for visitors.

The redesign of Serano Cafe’s website transformed its user experience, leading to a 47% increase in session duration, a 32% reduction in bounce rate, and a 63% increase in menu engagement. Through deep user research and iterative design, the project improved navigation, brand storytelling, and accessibility, resulting in stronger customer satisfaction and business growth.

What's Serano Cafe?

Serano Cafe is a cozy, artisanal bakery known for its handcrafted pastries and warm atmosphere. The website redesign aimed to encapsulate the bakery's inviting essence, improve user experience, and modernize the branding.

BACKGROUND & CONTEXT

Let's paint a picture

The Challenge

Our main challenge was twofold: Serano Cafe's original website did not reflect the warm, inviting nature of the bakery. The outdated design lacked cohesive branding, had a cluttered navigation system, and did not effectively showcase the bakery's artisanal products. My goal was to create a visually appealing, user-friendly website that enhances the online presence and improves customer engagement.

Business Goals

What did we want to achieve through the redesign?

Through initial conversations with the bakery owners and analyzing customer feedback, we established several key objectives:
